We are the partner sports club of the primary school at the Brandenburg Gate and use the school's sports facilities for our exercise programs.

In friendly groups and a relaxed atmosphere, we offer sports for all age groups – not performance-oriented, but for the joy of movement, to switch off after everyday life and for health.

Judo at our school

Cooperation with SC Lotos Berlin eV

In cooperation with SC Lotos Berlin eV, judo training takes place regularly in our gymnasium.

Judo strengthens many important values such as courage, respect, courtesy, self-control, and friendship. The training is suitable for beginners and starts with a free four-week trial period.

Supplementary music lessons (Mondays, Wednesdays)

As part of our musical education concept, the Jacob & Johannsen Music School offers modern music lessons that prioritize the enjoyment of music. Individualized instruction lays important foundations for musical development.

Polish lessons

Cooperation with the Polish school association "Oświata"

The association "Oświata" is committed to promoting the Polish language nationwide and offers supplementary mother-tongue instruction in cooperation with schools. This instruction takes place regularly at our school.

The lessons take place on Thursdays from 4:15 pm in room 303.

We invite children aged 6 and over.

Arabic lessons

Cooperation with the Arab Berlin Gate eV

The lessons are offered in cooperation with Arabisches Berliner Tor eV and are aimed at all children who want to strengthen their native language or are simply curious about the Arabic language.

• 8th period (3:15–4:00 pm): for children in grades 1 and 2
• 9th period (4:10–4:55 pm): for children in grades 3 to 6

For children who would like to take their first playful steps into the English language, we offer an English language club in cooperation with Lingualand GmbH.

Learning support

📘 Learning support within the framework of the Education and Participation Package (BuT)

Our school offers the possibility of receiving learning support for students who need extra help in their schoolwork. This support is offered as part of the Education and Participation Package (BuT) and is free of charge for eligible families.

The learning support program is implemented in cooperation with our sponsoring organization, tjfbg gGmbH (Technische Jugendfreizeit- und Bildungsgesellschaft – Technical Youth Leisure and Education Company). Experienced educational professionals offer targeted support in small groups or individual sessions – depending on the individual needs of the children.

Requirements:

There is a specific need for learning support (e.g. risk of failing a grade, difficulties in individual subjects)

• An application will be submitted to the relevant job center or social welfare office.
• The school confirms the need for support.

The tutoring takes place outside of regular classes in the school's premises.
